Closure of local institutions

Unfortunately, due to the current Corona ordinance, museums within the city limits will have to close again for the time being. This affects:
- The historic Bauhaus buildings and the Bauhaus Museum Dessau
- The castles Mosigkau and Luisium
- The Museum of City History, the Technology Museum “Hugo Junkers” Dessau, the Museum of Natural History and Prehistory
- The Orangerie and the Fremdenhaus at Georgium Castle
Visits to the zoo are permitted if visitors, except for children under the age of 6, can present a negative result from an approved test conducted within 24 hours prior to the start of the visit.
The zoo changes its opening hours as follows:
Monday & Tuesday
9.00 to 17.30 (closing time)
Wednesday to Sunday
9.00 to 17.30 (closing time) &
19.00 to 20.30 (closing of the ticket office)
A daily negative corona test receipt is required. The nearest test facility is at the “Apotheke am Bauhaus” (Gropiusallee 50, with appointment, bookable at schnelltest-dessau-rosslau.de).
For the evening openings on Wednesdays to Sundays, it is planned to have a mobile test team (of the “Apotheke am Bauhaus”) at the entrance to the zoo.
The tourist information offices in Dessau and Roßlau are also closed.
You can reach us by mail or phone from Mon – Fri 10.00 a. m. – 3.00 p. m.. However, the pre-ordering of souvenir items is still possible. These can be picked up with an appointment.
